A lot of television series are not inclined on basing the story on science fiction. One of the newest sci-fi television series of 2011 is called the “falling Skies”. The series focuses on the life of survivors after the alien invasion. The show premiered on TNT last June 19, 2011.

The drama series was created by Robert Rodat under the DreamWorks Television production. The series begins portraying the aftermath of the extraterrestrial invasion on earth. Approximately 90% of human population has been destroyed including the strongest military forces all over the world. Six months after the world invasion, a group of survivors find their way to survival. The group, they call themselves the Second Massachusetts, must work together to fight for their lives. The group is led by a retired Boston military officer named Captain Weaver and Tom Mason who was a history professor at Boston University.

“Falling Series” stars Noah Wyle as Tom Mason, the history professor who is in search of his son named Ben. Will Patton stars as Captain Weaver, the commander in chief of the group called 2^nd Massachusetts. Captain Weaver is a retired military officer and has major contribution during the Gulf War. Though not comfortable with the fact that his group consists of civilians, he has no choice but to train them to be ready to fight. Actress Moon Bloodgood stars as Anne Glass, the main doctor of the group who lost her husband and only son. Drew Roy stars as Hal Mason, the oldest son of Tom who is distant from his father, but still cares for his family. Jessy Schram stars as Karen Nadler who is a teenage Scout of the army. She lost her family and all she had is her boyfriend, Hal.

Also starring in the sci-fi series are Maxim Knight as Matt, Seychelle Gabriel as Lourdes, Peter Shinkoda as Dai, Sarah Carter as Margaret, Colin Cunningham as John Pope, and Connor Jessup as Ben Mason.

Noah Wyle of Falling Skies Arrested by Police

It has been reported that ‘Falling Skies Star’ Noah Wyle was recently arrested by the Police. He was arrested because he was a part of a protest that the cops were called in to disperse. The protests that took place in Washington was organized by people from the ADAPT program which is an organization that he has been known to support.

One of the goals of the organization is to convince Congress not to cut Medicaid for senior citizens. According to reports, he was part of the people arrested at the scene of the protest and they numbered a hundred. They were taking into Police custody after being hand cuffed just as what happened earlier in the year in the case of George Clooney which took place at the Sudanese Embassy. It is not the sort of thing that would keep him incarcerated for long and could have been released just hours later if he had quickly posted bail.

As to his reaction to the arrest, it may go in the way of Clooney who rather than being upset saw it as an avenue to draw attention to the cause.
